Billing Information

We are a private billing clinic. However, bulk billing is available for patients who hold a valid:

• Concession Card
• Health Care Card
• Pensioner Concession Card

(All cards must be issued by Centrelink)

Please Note:

Dr. Hawa Yasir and Dr. Thien Tran does not provide bulk billing services during Saturdays.

Private fee with Medicare rebate applies to all patients.

Consultation Fees

Fees from 1 August 2026

For Private (Non-Bulk Billing) Consultations

After your payment, we will submit your claim to Medicare on your behalf.

Medicare will then process your rebate and deposit it directly into your bank account linked to your Medicare.

If you haven't registered your bank details with Medicare, please do so to ensure your rebate is paid quickly.

For Bulk Billing Consultations

If your consultation is bulk billed, there is no payment required at the time of your visit.

After you see your doctor, we will send the claim directly to Medicare, and the set fee will be paid to your doctor.

Bulk Billing Update - Effective 1 November 2025

From 1 November 2025, the Australian Government has introduced new Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Payments to help support general practice services.

While this initiative is a positive step, the incentive does not fully cover the costs of providing high-quality care our patients deserve.

To continue delivering the best possible healthcare to our community, our clinic will maintain an appropriate out-of-pocket fee for some consultations. This ensures we can continue to offer the time, expertise, and services that support your health and wellbeing.

Assignment of Medicare Benefits - Effective 1 July 2026

Our clinic is a private billing practice. Consultation fees are payable at the time of your appointment.

Bulk billing is available only in limited circumstances and at the discretion of your treating doctor.

What is an Assignment of Medicare Benefits?

When a consultation in bulk billed, you will be asked to assign your Medicare benefit to your treating doctor. This is known as Assignment of Medicare Benefits.

By assigning your Medicare benefit, you authorize Medicare to pay the Medicare rebate directly to the clinic. In return, your doctor accepts the Medicare benefit as full payment for the eligible service, and you will not be charged ab out-of-pocket fee for that consultation. 

Your assignment of benefit confirms that:

• you received the medical service;
• you agree to assign your Medicare benefit for the service to your treating doctor; and
• you understand that you cannot claim a separate Medicare rebate for the same service.

For privately billed consultations, you will pay the consultation fee on the day of your appointment. Where eligible, we can submit your Medicare claim electronically, and your Medicare rebate will be paid directly into your nominated bank account.
